Re: Controlling non-RGB Parameters of custom fixtures?

Yes, that makes sense. But how do you tie the brightness of that solid color to the special parameter of the fixture? Is it in the advanced output window somewhere, or is it on the Avenue side? It's probably a super simple click of a button but I can't find it right now.

Controlling non-RGB Parameters of custom fixtures?

When you create a new light fixture in a lumiverse, you can create non-RGB parameters (such as master fade or strobe speed). How can I control these values quickly during a show, with a midi controller for example? I want to be able to utilize those parameters without opening up the advanced outputs ...

Re: Getting 60Hz on Datapath FX4

I bought a Comprehensive brand 3' displayport cable, which was rated for over 10Gb/s data rates, and that solved the problem - I have solid signal now with 4K@60Hz.

Must have been that the Startech cable I was using was faulty. I think Comprehensive is one of the best cable brands.

Re: Getting 60Hz on Datapath FX4

Quick update: I'm now getting intermittent dropped signal when using VLC to play a 4K mp4 file fullscreened on the datapath @ 4K60Hz. So that means it's not a problem with Resolume.

I'm using this Displayport cable (6' Startech): http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/944509-REG/startech ...

Getting 60Hz on Datapath FX4

I'm using a new Datapath FX4, and when I try to output 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz (which the fx4 is supposed to be able to do) I have problems when playing back in Resolume. The signal drops out intermittently, sometimes every few minutes or so, or sometimes every other second. The signal cuts out and the ...

Re: Max FPS Matching Refresh Rate?

Cool, glad to know that. And yeah it makes sense.

I was able to pick up a displayport cable today, so now I'm sending a 60hz 4k signal to the datapath, and lo and behold Resolume is now reporting between 59.94 and 60.04 fps.

Re: Max FPS Matching Refresh Rate?

Thanks this is all really good info, and glad to see resolume has been tested so much with datapath. Need to study this more to fully get all this info. What I'm wondering though is the reason resolume's reported fps drops. It happens the second I point a screen to the external display (which again ...

Max FPS Matching Refresh Rate?

I am using a PC with a GTX 980Ti video card, and I'm sending a 3840x2160 signal via HDMI into a Datapath FX4. It appears that with HDMI, and this datapath, at 4K, the maximum refresh rate I can have is 30Hz.

Now, when I output my 4K Resolume composition to this external display, the fps drops from ...

Blending The Correct Edge

Apologies if this has been asked before. I didn't find it anywhere:

When I have two projectors overlapping side-to-side, with a very large amount of overlap (say 40% although I'm not in front of the setup right now and can't check), the edge that Resolume tries to blend becomes the bottoms, rather ...
