Yes my MIDI network wasn't indeed a loopback one, I created one with IAC instead and Arena is now receiving MIDI from Ableton Live

Turns out the bugs were in my knowledge and not in the software, as to be expected.

Changing OSX privacy settings did the trick for the audio, thank you!

For the MIDI side unfortunately I still haven't managed to get any MIDI input into Arena from Resolume as shown in the screenshot.
