Update - I've had some advice which suggests it's because after the reinstall of the operating system the computer doesn't recognice my controller as the same device.
Also I've spoken to Zoltan by email.
I'm using a new computer now and setting up all my midi shortcuts from scratch which is also ...

Re: new MIDI shortcuts not saving!!!
PS. I'm thinking this issue may have happened because I had a fresh install of my computer Operating System a couple of months ago.
I was able to save a shortcut Preset file but then when I restarted Resolume and plugged in my controller Resolume crashed.
I could only get it working again once I'd ...

Re: new MIDI shortcuts not saving!!!
PS. the Default MIDI shortcuts file "Date Modified" is still at 16th November 2024 when I had my last gig, so it looks like the MIDI shortcuts simply aren't being saved with the Composition for some reason.
Thanks, Suzybee.

new MIDI shortcuts not saving!!!
Hi gang,
I'm having a weird Resolume/MIDI controller problem, a week before a big gig!
Every time I set new MIDI shortcuts they work fine during the session I'm working on them, and I'm saving my Composition before I shut down, but then when I reopen Resolume, the MIDI shortcuts have disappeared ...

high spec laptop (pc/mac) vs mac studio M2 ultra
Hey gang,
It looks like I need to upgrade my computer for live performance (my current PC laptop setup is described below).
My computer expert friend (who’s not a VJ) suggested that any laptop will probably struggle because of overheating so he suggested I check out the Mac Studio M2 Ultra and ask ...

Re: Basic Drawing Patch
Hi tijnisfijn,
thanks that's really thoughtful of you.
Unfortunately I don't have a mac anymore, I use a PC laptop and an android phone (it was more affordable for me)... I think this Drawing patch which Mark designed will be great especially since i can develop it in Wire (when i have time to get ...

Using TouchOSC XY Pad with Resolume
Hi,
I'm trying to set up the XY Pad in Touch OSC to control the X and Y parameters of a source or effect so I can be more fluid and creative with my control movements.
Can anyone explain how to do this?
I've been able to set up fader signals with Touch OSC (using OSC messages) but I don't seem to ...

Re: Basic Drawing Patch
Hi Mark, for some reason every time I try to add an attachment I just get instantly logged out of the Forum so I can't upload my screenshot.
When you have time, could upload a screenshot of what the OSC settings should be in TouchOSC to link the XYpad to the X and Y values of the drawing patch ...

Re: Basic Drawing Patch
Hi Mark,
I'm having trouble getting the XYpad on TouchOSC working with the X and Y properties of the drawing patch in Resolume.
I can get them to move with Sliders on TouchOSC (so i know the connection is working) but not the XY pad.
Can you advise me on what I'm doing wrong?

Re: Basic Drawing Patch
Hi Mark,
Before I try to edit the drawing patch in Wire I had a play with it in Resolume by using sliders for the X and Y controls just to see what it's like and it's really exciting! :)
I'm about to try setting up the TouchOSC app you recommended so I can control it freehand from my mobile phone ...
