The forum tells me I last signed in to the forum in 2008 !!!!!

So, I'm back doing gigs after 16 years away, I've upgraded my app from 2.3 to 7.2, busy re-encoding all the AVI files (wow, so many), and, have built a Xeon based workstation with an Nvidia Quadro 4000 (16gb), loads of RAM (64gb ...

and I don't have Ableton... it costs money that I don't really want to spend on more software, I'd rather spend it on VJ softs, clips or hardware.

I did notice that the donations received this month was $0 last time I was there, hope it hasn't simply hasn't run out of money...?

I've no idea who the admin peeps are for vjforums nowadays, or how to find out more info'... anybody else know?

I use multiple stills in a channel quite often. Main lesson I've learned is to always have the same size of still and to keep them under 1024x768 in size.

I use VIDNET a lot

Sometimes it crashes, but usually when I've overloaded one of the PC's.

Something I've found usefull is to open windows explorer on each PC, navigate to a folder on the other PC (ie a mapped network drive), and leave it open whilst using resolume.

It doesn't prevent VIDNET ...

I've had problems loading decks when trying to load multiple decks in one go,

ie, highlighting 8 decks and then dragging them to a deck tab.

The decks all work when loaded individually (ie, one at time).

How you configure it depends very much upon how you want to work.

FYI - I configure my BCR2000 as follows:-

top row of dials - press to activate layer (1 / 2 / 3)
turn for speed of layer

other top row dials configured for various effects and opacity (like LUMA on/off)

rows of buttons (midi notes ...

I have been experiencing video card card layer hangs as well, but mine started with resolume2, 2.1 and still in 2.2

I'm using DV cam via firewire (Microsoft DV driver) and Avermedia Analog capture card (el cheapo stuff). The DV feed is much more stable than the Avermedia one.
