lap specs??

I'll need some help here!I wan't to buy a lappy and I've ended up on the following choises:
1) Sony VGN-FS 315 S
M750(2MB, 1,86GHZ,533 FSB)
1024 MB
nVidia GO 6400 128 MB
100GB 5.400 rpm

2) HP ZD 8302
P4 630(2MB, 3.00GHz, 800 FSB)
512 MB
ATI Radeon x700 128 MB
80GB 5.400 rpm

3) HP ZD 8388 EA
P4 650(2MB, 3,4GHz, 800 FSB)
1024 MB
ATI Radeon x600 256 MB
100GB 5.400 rpm

I'd like some opinions??????????????????????????????????
Secondly...What would it be wise to choose a centrino
or I'll must stuck with P4??I live in Greece and it's a little bit difficult to find anything except centrino(and expensive..the cheapiest lap with P4 is about 2.400 Euro!!)...I searched in the net(like alineware) for lap but it's too complicated with the warranty and the service sections!I looked also for mac but we have problem with resolume...Would it be wise to buy a mac and run programs like Virtual Pc to use res???(??)
So the final problem is mac vs P4 vs centrino!!!!Help needed....

Mobile processers these days are generally more than capable of running resolume.

Acer make the best value laptops IMO - Their mobile processor (AMD Turion64 ML-34) kicks the arse out resolume.

I get 30-25fps with all 3 layers running off the 4200rpm laptop hard drive alone, which is the limiting factor in my setup, not the processer. Get an external Firewire drive and you'll be laughing.

Make sure you get a DX9 video card (like x700), although res won't use it yet, v3 will.

Check out the Acer Aspire 5024WLMi

continuty. when has bart or edwin said that resolume 3 will use DX9???? or is that just a rumor your spreading?

Maybe I recalled that thread wrongly but I thought the shader technology required for the blend modes/effects was only available on DX9 cards? I know pilgrim rquires it for all features.

If that's technically wrong then replace with 'good card'

I'm not spreading rumours.

we went with dell because of there warrenty cover i.e. drop your lappy and its coverd

and you can get world wide cover.

just got a 2ghz m, its great so quite compard to my p4 3ghz hyperthrded lappy, it also runs resolume better.

Acer offer accidental cover for 3 years as an extra, which I wish I had got now...

Remember, drinks spilled on your lappy are 'accidental' even if someone else does it.
