Not Seeing Slice Transformer Effect on Actual Output

Post by atlibolla »

Hi there,
sorry if this is a dumb question but I'm new to really using slices and slice transformer.

My problem is this:

I have slice transformer on my composition and I can see it working in my output monitor. However, it's not doing anything on the actual screen.

My actual screen:

My output monitor:

Any idea how I fix this?

Thanks in advance.

Set the slice in the advanced output setup back to Composition source.

Thank you!
Still figuring this out, so all help is very welcome while I wrap my head around how all of this works.

I'm now composing in a group for my back screen, which is three separate panels.
There is a slice for the three panels together, and then a slice for each separate panel as well.
On the group, I have a slice transformer outputting to the "all three together" slice. This makes it easy to quickly adjust content for the whole of the back of the stage.
So now I want individual clips to appear on each panel. I slice transform each of these for each panel.
But if my group slice transformer for "all three together" is enabled, the individual clips are scaled too small, and don't fill the panel. If I bypass the group slice transformer, everything is fine.
I guess there is double scaling happening?

Any tips on a sensible workflow/setup to make this work? So I can easily/quickly treat the back panels as one large image or break them down individually?

Thanks.
