BUG: Opacity Default Reset Anomaly

Post by craftycurate »

I've found a strange thing in the right-click default reset functionality for layer opacity. This happens on 2 different layers I've tried.

If I right click on the red area below, opacity is set to 50%, which is normal for the upper 2 layers in the default 3 layer setup.

However, if I click on the slider (red area below), or on the "V" layer opacity slider itself, opacity is set to 100%

Am I missing something or is this a bug?

UPDATE: Here is how to generate the problem

1. Initially, there is no problem - the right click method restores opacity to 50% regardless of where you right-click
2. Now right-click on the word "opacity". This resets to 50%.
3. Now right-click on the slider again - the default is now set to "100%" when clicking on the slider or the V thumbnail, but 50% when right-clicking on the word "opacity".

This effect occurs with both Layers 2 and 3 in the default 3 layer setup.

Thanks
Richard

Ahh, the problem is that normally each parameter has a default value. For scale this would be 100%.
Opacity though has default value which is different for the first layer (100%) and all the other layers (50%).
So this bug has something todo with this.

Ah yes - in a flexible layer arrangement, how does the software decide which layer is 100% and which is 50% esp if layers can be moved around? Should this be automatically adjusted when layers are moved?

I think we just need to make sure only the bottom layer resets to 100%.
