iPad controller in progress/need help

Post by TheDigitalGigalow »

OK...here is the deal. i have uploaded the layout i am working on. i have not been able to find the OSC commands for the middle row of the layout. i would like them to be activelayer commands, but everything i have tried has no response.

Once i get these commands i will put on my website with the OSC patch for free download.

everything else works, just need the row starting with 4 beat and ending with cue 3. also need tosetup ableton live side so i can give to everyone else to enjoy.

i know, i must be stupid. just trying to learn and share with everybody.

PLUR

The OSC commands for that row of buttons can only be assigned to individual clips (ie /layer1/clip1/video/position/jumptopointofinterest = 4 to jump to the fourth cue point of the first clip in layer one).

Perhaps a workaround is to make a slider that selects which clip is targeted?

Really cool project BTW. Shame the iPad still doesn't ship in Europe. Curse you Apple! ;)

i see. the buttons on the left of layer rows are layer select buttons.
/layer#/select

what will happen if i put a row of 15 clip select buttons
/activelayer/clip#/select

then for the the 4 Beat button
/activeclip/video/beatloop#

# = LAYER or CLIP #

would this work?

thanx for the help

That's pretty much what I had in mind as well. Theoretically, it *should* work.
