streaming from website

Post by megawattmedia »

is it possible to have a live stream from a website, have a client that wants a live feed from a flash stream, it's one of these sat nav streams that shows the progress of contestants in a race. being able to show a live webpage as a clip and then being able to zoom a particular region would be great is this possible?
thanks.

Is your client the one who's running this site? Can you get your hands on the GPS information?
Do you want the stream inside Avenue to be as it is shown in your browser? As if you made a screen capture of it and import the movie into Avenue.
Do you want to modify the view inside of Avenue or the browser?
Do you have coding experiences?

yes but they're fairly inflexible, and don't think they'll give me the gps information, it's a live feed that will be on a website i did think perhaps i could do a screen capture from another laptop but didn't know how i could feed this into a macbook pro. it's a tricky one. think it's going to be easiest to run the feed on another lappy though v4, just thought it would be nice to run it all through resolume and macbook pro.

I see  I suggest you have a look at vade's & bangnoise's new tool syphon. It's in private beta at the moment and I am not quite sure if it supports flash/browser yet. In theory it should work i guess. Contact one of em and ask. They know best.
