Preview and Output not Drawing/Refreshing

Hello there,
After having reinstall some Nvidia drivers, I now don't seem to be able to get 3.1.3 or 3.2 to redraw or effect the output pane - preview pane - or external display. It shows a grab of whatever the display was showing before. (Desktop / other app etc etc.)

I'm on windows 7 and have used several different drivers.
Are there any other Nvidia settings I should be watching?
(I've tried 'Compatibility & Peformance Mode')

I've just used the Driver Sweep and reainstalled the latest drivers for the 7950 Go Card

Still no luck

After trying all sorts, turning on' Aero' mode - or at least a windows theme that supported it, appears to have brought back the drawing for the video panes.

I had been using the Classic windows theme.

Phew.

Does anyone have any more detailed experience with this Aero nonsense?

Aero Winstyle ON = non fluid videos with no tearing


Aero Winstyle OFF = very fluid videos with tearing
