How to combine two multiply layer

Hi,

i have a layer with multipy to create a nice matte over a background layer. Now i want combine two layers to act as a matte.
How can i archive this?

I am not aware of how this is done, and I would like to do the same thing.

For example, have a black and white image to act as a mask, and have the black parts replaced with one video, and the white ones replaced with another.

hmm...
with 3 extra layers and a a composition with 2 instead of 1 "screen"....

example:
your comp is 1024x768
set it to 2048x768
first layers are the background and positioned left
then set 2 new layers to the right for the matte
upperst layer contains a flip effect set to vertical and with blendmode multiply 50% or so ;)

it's quiet the same like in after effects for example...
there you also would need 2 compositions!

I hadn't thought of that, clever. Then you use the Advanced Output options to only show the left half of the screen, I guess?

exactly (the right screen also should show the same!).... hope it works as it was mentioned ;)
