Midi buttons work to turn effects on but not off

Finally got a midi controller and noticed this quite annoying bug (or is it a feature?).
I would love to fly through controlling global effects on my composition - to make everything change color or increase contrast or something, but I noticed that I can only turn the effect on with my midi buttons, but not off. It was a consistant behavior for me unfortunately. So I can't really use this in live performances unfortunately.

Can this be fixed? That would be so awesome!

I use Resolume 4.01 (I think it's the latest one at this moment)

which controller are you using and what are the buttons actually sending? cc's, notes, are they set to toggle?
that's probably the cause

the problem is in the configuration of your controller, not in resolume. try to change the way it sends the note.
