iPad to Arena?

Is there a way to get an ipad app to show up as a source in arena for mapping? I want to use a drawing app so people can do live drawings on my map.

Hi BigFatPaulie and welcome,
Yes there are a couple of ways you can do this.

A. Wired
- You'll need an "Ipad connector -> HMDI Adapter" and a capture card..something like the "Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle" for example...and of course a good HDMI cable.
- The capture card shows up in Resolume as an input device.

B. Wireless
- You can do the same like above....just use the AppleTV instead of a good HDMI cable, and the adapter

C. I'm pretty sure that somewhere out there is a tool which allows you to cast your ipad screen through a wlan to your pc/mac which also shows up in Resolume like a webcam or so.

But DAMN!!! I do not have this information for you!

Awesome thanks! I'll look into the blackmagic card. I think my company purchased one just now sure the details on it.

instead of Apple TV i just bought AirServer so i can stream it right to my mac but i don't know yet if resolume will read that as an input.

Got it! Thanks to the Resolume Blog. I was using Tagtool and came across the webpage that had a step by step process on it I'm going to give other drawing apps a shot too.

I'm really happy about this because i bought AirServer before i found the the tutorial.
