I cant realy see any question in your post, what do you need / want exactly ?

maybe they use some effect like videowall with variable brigthness to strobe in some different style then the whole area.

Since it's the main stage, it's most likely Epic MK3 from V SQUARED running everything, not Resolume.

Although this post was about Dance Valley, the idea is the same. It's all about creating a good input map in your composition: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11599&p=47032&hilit ... ley#p47032

Btw, I've not been at Ultra, but from what I gather, most of the V-Squared guys were running Resolume. KBK Visuals and Eyesupply were doing visuals for some of the headliners and they were all running Resolume. Epic sounds like a brilliant piece of work though, I hope I can see it in action at some point. Either way, you still need to create an input map to be able to put a good show on a stage like this. Which software you use to do it is irrelevant really.

that would be rad if they had a stage that was as big as the main but just 1 flat giant LED wall

tks joris, i have one more question
you'll notice one thing if you've watch the ultra live
they do the strobe effect exact sync to beat as different part LED, is that sync by SMPTE ?
i think it impossible by rehearsal manual

I believe it was Eyesupply doing main stage this year, not V2. Correct me if i'm wrong.

last couple times I saw them they had resolume and touchdesigner running together... touch mapping the walls and resolume serving up the clips.

this workflow is getting more and more common from what I can gather... myself included
