thanks for the replies.
the geforces are out of the picture for now,
I mean I already have a 2nd system ready only need a card, that's good but not too expensive right now.
I gonna buy a hercules 8500LE and we will see.
I will post my results with this card.
But the things ether said about the zoomoptions with the matrox are very interesting but my girlfriend also needs a new graphicscard and we'll buy a g550 because she already uses a g200 and she a 2d-artist so she really needs good colour and 2d-speed but I will have a change to test resolume with it :)
And because the matrox's are really cheap I can always consider it for my resolume-pc,
and put the hercules in my first comp.
again thnks for the insights

since i last spoke to zia over the phone about trying to get my new card work (just bought it from paramounts) I havnt been able to get it fully working, and wish to return in exhcange for perhaps a G4Ti4400-VTD. A few friends of mine online have reconmended that i get this one instead for the purposes Im using these cards for (VJing).
The only problem I have is that im not quite clear on the DVI conector input. It says on http://www.msi.com.tw/products/multimed ... c/8871.htm that it can accept dv, avi, mpeg1 and mpeg 2 throught this DVI video input connector. WHERES THE BLOODY ABDAPTER FOR IT to go from video composit into DVI????? like wise with s-video or DV 1394 (firewire)

can someone clear this up for me?

I really need to know what card to buy thats best for me. Im prepared to pay what ever it takes.
I have a matrox. ive had a GF2 mx, and now the GF4mx 460. Ive herd about the radeon 8500 wether it be ATi or Hercules. dont really like the ATI stuff to be honest.

I need a card specially for programs like resolume, video jocky (VJO) meimi, and lots more.

I bought the hercules 8500 LE
It works
iT WORKS NICELY
I did two nights with it and it works.
I cannot say anything else.
You can use 2 monitors and tv-out(svhs)
and it works.
The card costs around 200 euro so its much cheaper than the gf4400 etc.
and it uses directx 8

thre's a good alternative and it's called gainward, you can see some review on hardware.fr,thereare several models but lots with dualhead, capture, they look to have the best performance for a geforce 2 or 3 card with good perf in 2d or 3 d

how about 3d games? herc 8500LE dont have any problems? from what i read, gf440mx got good value for money..more so if you're into gaming..as driver support is excellent.
