Yes, easily, if you are working with many big PNG files, for instance.

.mov is a Quicktime container not a codec and could contain many different codecs that can be lossless such as Animation or lossy such as Intermediate, ProRes, DXV, H.264 etc....

As Joris explained very well it in a post not long ago, Resolume can work with a lot of different codecs very well but the moment you start using multiple layers, compositing or have a lot of them in a deck using DXV is a must to get better results.

To give you an example, a couple years ago I was working on a big event and for some reason I kept getting the red "low memory" warning and Arena would crash. It turned out I had forgotten to encode a dozen 2-second .mov files from ProRes4444 to DXV and even though these movies were super short, they would crash my high end server. I had a lot of things going on in my deck but the moment I converted these files to DXV, all crashes were gone!

How many .mov and 1920x1080 pics do you have in a deck?

Are all your .mov files in DXV3 codec? If not, then that's your issue.
