Using a DJM900-NXS2 to control resolume

Hi,

For a uni project I'm looking at using a DJM900-NXS2 through Max 7 and into resolume to control, select and effect visuals. I'm looking at using a combination of MIDI CC, envelope tracking and beat tracking in order to control resolume and I was wondering whether anyone had any experience or recommendations for this. The plan is to get a system that allows the DJ to perform with the visuals while DJing.
