loading bar showing over all triggered clips

Post by suzybee »

Hi gang,

I'm using windows 10, Arena 5.4.
In the last cople of days i've found that when i've triggered clips in my deck, the horizontal bar which comes up to show a clip is loading stays permanently visible over the clip thumbnail.
The clips are still triggering as normal but the line doesn't go away once the clip has loaded.

This has never happened before.
I'm assuming it's not meant to happen?
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your help!
Suzybee :)

I love how after all this time, this is still referred to as the loading bar.

Resolume does not need to load files when you trigger them, they are loaded when you add them to the deck. What you're seeing is the beat snap bar. The beat snap bar waits for the next whole musical bar to start the clip. This is so when you do AV, the clips play exactly in sync with the tempo. You can turn off beat snap via the Composition menu (Composition > Beat Snap > None)

When the beat snap bar appears and doesn't count down, but the clips do start playing, something is severely messed up in Resolume's insides and it doesn't know what's what anymore. In those cases, it's best to just quit Resolume, delete the config.xml file, and start again. That's the Resolume equivalent of taking 2 aspirin and sleeping it off.
