HELP What to use?

Post by xdjxklusivex »

So I need some suggestions please....

I need to connect two led processors to create a seamless display total resolution will be 3328x768. Currently I am running a 1070 so I have enough outputs.

Do I -
a. Use the 1070 with 2 outputs and do all the work in the advanced output
b. Purchase a Matrox triplehead and work that way?

Thanks!

I would use 2 outputs on the 1070.

Thank you! I ended up going that route and it worked well.

So I had another thought, would you prefer to run two 1080 screens to cover the 3328 width or would you send 1 1080 line, link the 2 processors and then stretch the image to fit the 3328 width?

It depends on your LED processor but you should be able to run the exact resolution you need.

The vx4s we use maxes out at 1920x1080 but it has a mosaic feature where you can link multiple processors for 1 large screen. This feature from what I understand just scales the input and stretches it across your overall screen.

Ideally I think I should be using a 4k processor but we currently don't have one in our stock so just making it work with what we have.

No, you can cascade your VX4s to create a larger screen, so you could break down 2 units into 1,664x768 and 3328x768/30 would fit into single link DVI so you should be good!

So if I went with the cascade route I would run 1 output from my GPU and the vx4s would pull the combined res? I didn't think that was possible as the specs say 1920x1080 max input resolution.
