Since the update from 7.3. to 7.3.1 the Acuarela effect got red and says: "Could not find Wire Effect"
Unluckily it does not work anymore and the effect settings are gone...
When I drag a new Acuarela effect into the clip I cannot see my formerly saved presets.
What is the best way to get the composition run again with the last saved acuarela settings and get access to the presets?
Thank you.

Well, the plugin got an update in 7.3.1. We'll check out why it doesn't load any more.
The presets for it missing for the new one, are probably the came cause.
You can get the installer for 7.3 release from the bottom of our download page, your presets should work after installing 7.3 again.

Re: Update 7.3.1 - Could not find Wire Effect - Acuarela
Thanks! So Release 7.3 "without footage" is the right one to download and install?
I already realized that the new 7.3.1 acuarela effect changed its behavior and it was impossible for me to reproduce the former look...
For my understanding: With Release 7.3. the OLD acuarela effect will be installed again and replaces the new one - right? My missing preset can still be found at "Presets/Video Effects/Acuarela" and I hope to get access to it again after the downgrade.

yes, with 7.3 your presets and the effect should both work.
We can't guarantee at this point that the presets will work in a newer release with this special case though, but we'll see what we can do.

Re: Update 7.3.1 - Could not find Wire Effect - Acuarela
Thank you - the acuarela effect is working after the downgrade to 7.3.0 properly in the old style again. The new one in 7.3.1 looks actually more fluid and that was probably the intention with the update.
What do you think about preserving the old smoky acuarela style within the plugin properties by a "classic" button? I really like this vintage look, although the new style comes closer to the eponymous painting technique.

The new one fills in the screen and you can't use the reset button, it just fills up till its white.
I like the old one, could make really interresting effects with it hope it will come back
, or atleast that the complete white fill will be fixed
For now I will also downgrade

Re: Update 7.3.1 - Could not find Wire Effect - Acuarela
We pushed a hotfix for 7.3.1, the Auarela should be working with the 7.3.0 composition, and also behave about the same as before
Let us know if you like how it looks!

Re: Update 7.3.1 - Could not find Wire Effect - Acuarela
I'm still getting a lot of nasty white in areas that where previously we were nicely transparent - is this something I can fix?
This white was not present in the previous version of the effect - it was just lots of lovely trippy smokey goodness on the edges!!
Is this something I can amend by changing settings?

Try changing the Blend mode in the effect, or move the opacity slider.

Thank you Zoltán. The opacity in the example is set is at 16% - doesn't seem any of the blend modes are helping. Is there one you can suggest to remove this?
The subject is keyed out and the alpha is now generating white where it wasn't before the effect update. Doesn't look like it has having the same effect on clips without Chromakey effect applied.
