TouchOSC — Bypass Effect in Arena 7

Post by T_G »

Hi there!
I am desperately trying to toggle the bypass button on “solid color effect” on/off with TouchOSC. Therefor I’m adding a button in TouchOSC Editor, giving it “/composition/video/effects/solidcoloreffect/bypassed” and setting the value range from 0 to 1 … Unfortunately without avail.
I am also not able to change the opacity on that effect with a slider which has “/composition/video/effects/solidcoloreffect/opacity”.

It would be great if someone could guide me in the right direction!

Which Resolume Arena 7 version are you using?

Do you see the OSC message come in in the OSC preferences - Inspector?

Sounds like Resolume doesn't receive the data then.
Is OSC input enabled?

Are firewalls off?

Are you sending to the IP address of the machine from touchOSC?

The strange thing is that controlling of other parameters is possible. I can even change the color in the “solid color effect” — but opacity and the bypass button are not responding …

Do those incoming messages appear in the OSC inspector?

Which touchOSC are you using and which OS are you sending from Android, or iOS?

Sorry for being stupid — but when should these incoming messages appear in the OSC inspector? When I for instance touch a button on my TouchOSC?
I am using TouchOSC MK1 from Hexler version 1.9.12.19 on an iPhone.

OSC messages should appear when Resolume gets one.
Ios versions of touchOSC had an issue where long addresses were not sent out properly, maybe that's why they don't come in.
