Transition delay between clips

New to resolume. Running Arena 7 on a 2019 Mac Pro tower with 3 4K outputs. Software is controlled via grandMA2. On the console, if I set the transition time at X seconds and then trigger a clip, it takes X seconds to start the transition and then another X seconds to actually transition, which is not ideal in the least.

Example:

Layer transition time set at 4 seconds. Trigger new clip and a green “load bar” type thing shows up on the thumbnail for 4 seconds, THEN the 4 second transition starts. I have no idea what’s going on so any help is appreciated.

Your clips are set to BPM sync, the bar shows the beat grid position till the trigger.
try setting them to Timeline: https://resolume.com/support/en/video#playback
