I'm trying to do an audio-reactive clip recording. I can get the video clip to record but when I drag that clip into the timeline there is no audio. I can't figure out why I can't record an audio-reactive clip WITH audio.
FFT gain shows nothing playing in the EQ.
However, when I simply press record with audio and video playing everything works as it should.
Looked everywhere for a demo of audio-affected clip recording WITH AUDIO, found lots without, none with audio. Could you steer me to a demo, and also please verify my preferences are correct in the included file.
Using M1 MacBook Pro with NO audio interface. Also have a modern iMac USING and audio interface (Scarlett 18i20). On the iMac I tried selecting the Scarlett for input and/or output, Blackhole, Loopback, Soundflower, built-in, and multi-output. I couldn't get any of them to work on either machine.
Also confused on which "Trigger style" I should use.
Using Resolume 7.14.1
Audio-reactive CLIP render
Re: Audio-reactive CLIP render
Playing or recording external audio is not supported currently, sorry.
If you play the audio file in Resolume, that will be recorded if you choose audio + video in the recording settings.

Re: Audio-reactive CLIP render
It's internal, not external.
Am I looking in the wrong direction? Should I simply be using OBS (or some other screen capture app) rather than trying to record using Resolume?

Re: Audio-reactive CLIP render
Are you playing the audio in Resolume?
If so, in the recording preferences, make sure to select Audio + Video:
OBS can work great for recording if you play the audio in the same computer, but from a different app.
You could use Syphon/spout from Resolume to OBS, and use the audio from the other app, or inputs.
