Copy/Apply Layer effects to selected clip

Post by kai »

Currently there is no way to render to file a clip with the layer effects applied.
This is similar to the ableton problem where when you export individual tracks (stems) the group effects are not applied.

A few solutions (each would alleviate this issue individually, but all would be welcomed):
  • Enable multiple effect selection and then be able to copy and paste multiple effects at a time (example: like from a layer to a clip, or from clip to clip) Only being able to do one at a time doesn't cut it.
  • Have a option when right clicking on a clip to "duplicate layer effects to this clip"
  • Effect Grouping and thus effect group presets. Similar to ableton grouping of effects / plugins feature. Then being able to add effect groups to any layer, clip, etc... Also should be able to be copied and pasted.
Additional niceties:
  • In the top left column where are the layers are listed and you adjust apacities for each layer... where it says layer 1, layer 2, etc... have a way of displaying how many added effects are currently on that layer... so at a glance we know which layers have effects on them and how many.
  • Default layer "styles" (example: creating a new layer should always add a custom selection of certain effects.)
