succesful shuttle configuration

Post by papui »

Could someone recomend a configuration for a shuttle for resolume, processor, graphic card, HD, etc... which your experience tells you it works fine with resolume final 2?
Another imprtant question is the price you paid for it.

thank you so much

hi Papui, My advice

Post by SuperficiaL »

buy one of theseshuttles SB95P SB77G5 or a SB81P buy a P4 processor and get an ATI graphics card
get some HD's and you should be ok :)
i got a sb65G2 with an ATI Radeon 9800 pro 128 MB card 2 WD Raptors ( 1=36 Gb and 1 = 72 Gb) 3.0GHz P4 HT and a SB75G2 (same setup) and i noticed that the chipset is also a speed isue... so pay attention to the chipset speed.
one pc goes for about 1200 Euro
+- 400 for shuttle +-200 for P4 +-120 for 36Gb and +-200 for 72Gb +-200 for ATI

bu the way: i bought a Marquant MCD-5 dvd player and it ROCKS!
best features: it has no osd for play and pause functions and it has 2 composite video ins so u can switch between the dvd or 2 of the video ins, comes in very handy if (like me) u dont have enough video ins on the V4..
and last but not least it has 2 video outs so u can let one output go directly to the V4 and one through resolume for effects...

hope this helps.

Hi,

I've followed your tips and just bought a Shuttle SB81+Raptor HD+ATIX700 and it's running ok. The "only" problem I have is regarding to video capture card... I bought an external Danzle DVC-120 but it don't seems to work with resolume, I can't see it... Am I missing something or should I try a different capture card. Any suggestion? Thanks for your help.
