Sequencer style recording

Post by bmhof »

How can you record the performance for later playback and editing like a sequencer plays midi instruments. I would like to program a show for one track but can figure out how to perform the piece and record the fader moves, etc. is this possible? I do not want to record a video. I would like to have key frames or something?

Totally lost.

Unfortunately, that is not possible you could, however, use a sequencer program like a abelton Live. Control, resolume from there. Otherwise you can use the envelopes to automate stuff in advance. You could go quite far with that, but it's not like recording a sequence or using a key frame program like after effects. But if you combine the envelopes with the auto play function and make lots of clips, automate they after each other, then you could make some sort of sequences. Hope this helps you out if you have more questions let me know...

There was an OSC recorder which could be used.
I'd exclude the clip and layer transport positions.
