So for a while ive been trying this very simple thing: A square that is rotating (rather tilting) around its vertex/corner point. Something fairly simple in e.g. After Effects, see screenshot.
I would love to have it done in arena with a shaper and animated by FFT though.
But im already puzzled for a while how to make the Anchor XY work so i can rotate Z it. I thought i knew but I don't seem to get the principle behind the Anchor XYZ in Resolume apparently
Is there anyone with the golden tip?
(tell me I'm stupid, iif that's the case;)
simple question about Anchor, or not....?
Re: simple question about Anchor, or not....?
like this?

Once you have the anchor dialed in, set the rotation parameter animation as you'd like:

Re: simple question about Anchor, or not....?
thanks as always Zoltan!
This is (almost) indeed what i want.
But.....
The animation part I know how to do but the anchor system i dont seem to get.
As you can see in the video i uploaded, i copied your settings to the default shaper. And indeed the anchor coordinates are close to the corner point (not precise though).
The moment I start to adjust the position and scale, it also changes the rotation. Makes sense, but how to adjust the coordinates again so it gets back to one of the vertexes? What is the logical connection between the various settings? Is it the resolution or grid of the screen I dont get, or the basic idea of an anchor?
Im still puzzled and worying about my brain functions
I hope I made my problem more clear this way. Thanks again in advance!

Re: simple question about Anchor, or not....?
Your rectangle is probably a different size than mine, that's why the 400pixels don't match exactly to the corner, you'd need to tweak it a bit. There is no real connection there, just look and move the anchor where it matches to your corner.
You can add more transform effects after the default transform if you'd like. That would make further tweaking easier.

Re: simple question about Anchor, or not....?
thanks Zoltan! I think the important thing to accept and understand for me now that there is not really a grid/resolution with the anchor is i could kinda reason what the coordinates would be. Just trial and errorr tweaking as you say.
I'll get there!
