Working on a dome project and the idea is to feature a live video input onto the dome. Sort of a "Picture-in-Picture" effect.
For a dome the live video needs to be warped via a bezier transform to look correct on the final output.
My question is can Resolume Avenue transform a single clip or layer to be a bezier curve transform?
Please see screenshots of my very simple setup in Resolume. The 2nd screenshot shows what I would like it to look like but it is in MadMapper.
Ideally this transformation could be done in Resolume so that MadMapper can be purely the calibration file and all the mixing and composition would be done in Resolume.
Is this possible in Resolume Avenue? I tried most of the effects but could not find an solution that would produce a bezier effect.
I see in the monitor on the lower left that the layer / clip now has transformation handles. If these could be bezier we would be good to go but I did not find a way.
Or, do we need Arena or something?
Please let me know if my ask should be clarified and thank you for any help!

Re: Resolume Avenue Bezier Transform for Clip / Layer?
After a little more playing around the Fisheye effects gets super close but ultimately lacks the control needed.
I also took a look through the Juice Bar as well but did not find anything.
Any idea if Wire will do what we need?

You can get bezier handles in Advanced Output, but only with Arena, not with Avenue.
The transform widget in the preview monitor won't give you bezier curves.
If you need full dome mapping features you can try some of the third-party solutions mentioned here for example:

I replied to your question on Reddit.
As mentioned, your best bet is to use the dome plugins. Easy, fast and reliable.

Re: Resolume Avenue Bezier Transform for Clip / Layer?
Thank you for the replies.
To clarify I am able to do the dome mapping perfectly in MadMapper.
Resolume is for the content playback and mixing only in this situation.
The reasoning is because you can have a dedicated calibration file for MadMapper and then change the content in Resolume Avenue.
With that I am going to look into Arena.
However, I am thinking that the mapping in Arena is for the final mix out and not a per layer/clip instance. I am not sure though.
I will give it a try with the demo and report back.
Thanks for the input!
P.S. @Mowgli, I did not see any specific dome plugins in the link you sent. I did a quick search but only found other related items. Can you reference a specific link please? I would like to see what you mean. Thanks!

Re: Resolume Avenue Bezier Transform for Clip / Layer?
Okay great it looks like Arena is the way to go!
I was able to get this to work after a few minutes of tinkering.
The key take away was that the Advanced Output needed to be applied to individual layers and not the whole composition.
Then, the Advanced Output needed to be routed to Syphon.
Further, the preview monitor needed to be looking at the custom output and not just the general composition.
Then in MadMapper the input needs to be the Screen 1 and not the general composition.
In the full context this will mean a few more layers than normal but it will work.
I will be testing this further over the coming days to ensure flawless victory before pushing to production.
Thank you everyone!

@mowgli That link was not in your previous post above which is why I asked. Thank you for sharing.
