i am new to resolume and video mapping.
how to send 2 videos to multiple screens(led walls) from one output.(vga or hdmi).
currently,output resolution has set to 1280x720 .(extended display)
1st screen size - 512x256 pixels.
2nd size - 384x192
i need to show different different contents on 2 screens on same time.

if you only have 1 Output but have to send two different videos to different screens you ll need to "split" the one output-screen you have into two signals somehow. You may can do this inside the Image Processors of your LED walls.
You ll also need to setup some slices to fit your needs. All to know about Layer to Slice Routing :

If you want to send two different videos on one output and each video has a different resolution, you need to built your output so that you know the location of each section so that you can select it in your video processor down the line.lahiru wrote:i am new to resolume and video mapping.

If your LED processing unit can't breadown the output into 2 screens you'll need to add a video processing unit in the middle to do that such as a Datapath X4 or a BARCO Image Pro II with Dual Ouput but these are expensive pieces of equipment that will run you from $1,600 (Datapath X4) to over $10,000 (Barco Image Pro II)
Here is an example of how I would break it down with the top left coordinates in white as (X,Y):
Also, based on the size of your LED walls, it looks like you could send both screens on a 480x640 instead of a 1280x720.

i think your idea represent image 1 .if i wire both screen as one screen(image2) . Can i manage it with slices? if yes.is that a correct way?

There are many ways to achieve what you're trying to do in Resolume Arena and layers to slices is definitely one of them. But I guess the main question is what type of video processor are you using and how does it process your signal before feeding it into your LED walls?

i am using led video processor. it takes input video and resize it to led wall size.(512x256 pixels) then processor out the image with big resolution(example 1024x768) and resized video placed on 0,0 (x/y)coordinates.Oaktown wrote:There are many ways to achieve what you're trying to do in Resolume Arena and layers to slices is definitely one of them. then processed image gives to send card in their it only capture 512x256 at 0,0 coordinates.

Ok lets go with a couple of questions first...are you using one sending card to the 2 led video walls, or its 2 different sending cards ?
If its one, then you can connect directly to the sending card, and bypass the processor altogether. In this way, what the sending card will do is start at 0,0 and read the pixel dimension of the tile layout from your output. Thus you can use your output transformation and fit your composition/slice/layer into that area. At this point if it is 2 video walls from that sending card then as you have it, the next one will be configured either below or beside the first one. In this breath you can then duplicate your slice and then fit it to that position for the second screen and you are all done.
if it is 2 different sending cards then you require the processor to act as distribution amplifier to send the same signal to both and tell each where to start their x,y position.
but best bet is to send the highest signal to it(sending card) being usually 1920x1080, DVI signal and work from there.

when we send through video processor we can directly connect, camera to processor and easily switch .
yes .as u said ,we can send video directly to send card but when i need to show camera input.how do i do it?If its one, then you can connect directly to the sending card, and bypass the processor altogether
