Effect Clip not applied while transition happening

Hi,

For example, I have composition
Layer2 [*Colorize Effect] [Blank] [Blank]
Layer1 [*Blank] [Clip1] [Clip2]

Effect on layer2 is triggered, Blank in layer1 is triggered too. Layer2 has some transition time.

When I trigger Clip1, I see original clip colours, while transition happening.
Looks like effect is applied based on alpha channel: when transition is on 50% of time, I see 50% of effect applied.

What are the layer blends you use, and fader levels?

Layer blends are standard (Alpha, I think). Transition time = 1s.

Could you upload a screen capture, showing the layer settings and what happens exactly in the output monitor?

so, what happens is
while the clip below is starting to fade in, it's a semi transparent red,
the colorize makes a semi transparent white from that
and these are then mixed together using the 100% ADD(which is essentially alpha)
The result is a semi transparent pink-ish texture. If you preview the composition, you can actually see the checkerboard in the preview monitor.
That's how the mixing and transitions are expected to work.

What you can do, would be either adding the Colorize effect to your content layer, or
disabling the Alpha channel on the Colorize effect clip:

Ok. I thought this should work a bit differrent, but see the logic.
