Option to set default "loops" count when importing clips?

Post by 4ndrw »

tangentially related to my other thread today (debated whether to open a separate thread)

any chance we could gain the option to set a "default loop count" when importing clips, to a custom value?

often find myself dropping in clips from packs mid set, but everytime I do this,
I have to select them all and change this manually (usually to 8)

(I often blend layers and control fx on clips to switch things up and help it fit the energy of the music, and sometimes I'll have related clips switching automatically while all this is going on - it's also obviously useful if I need to walk away from foh for a bit or if I'm also juggling lighting and things simultaneously)

when loops are on 1, it burns through all the clips in a pack wayyyy too fast for me.

on a large deck, going ctrl+a to select all clips, can really make things chug for a moment
and the GUI already runs a bit slow for a bit when importing clips while VJing, so manually selecting them to do this after the thumbnails have been generated etc, does take up precious time!
