Adding layers effects midi mapling

Was wondering if there is a better way to add layers to my composition without effecting my midi mapping I have on other layers and groups? I notice when I add a layer and move it to the order I want to I lose midi mapping on other layers

They are set to position looks like. I’ll change them all to this layer, clip, group
