Akai APC64

The Akai APC64 is a very cool controller for Ableton Live that can do a lot of great things for making music. Many of those features are not really useful for VJ-ing so we do not think it will be as popular for Arena & Avenue as the APC40 but you can use it as a basic controller, here is how.

Use the correct device: DAW

The APC registers as multiple MIDI devices. Enable MIDI Input & Output under APC64 DAW.

Use the correct mode: SESSION VIEW

At the top of the device there are buttons to switch between various modes. Use SESSION VIEW to use the buttons to trigger clips in Arena & Avenue.
