Important question on my decision to upgrade or not. I need OSC output so I can use an iPad away from the laptop and still be able to know which clips are which before triggering.
Can Resolume 4 output clip names over OSC?

Re: OSX 10.6 is a no go..
Dying to upgrade my macbook pro to 10.6 but can't till Resolume works stable with it. So if you need beta testers on 10.6 (I have 1 machine on 10.6) to help work out those bugs I'd happily help.

Re: Resolume crashes with Display Link Adapter (USB to DVI)
Can we get the displaylink crash fixed though? I can't afford a matrox dvi device and I need 2 outputs on my macbook pro.
I honestly don't think there's any good reason why resolume should crash just because I have a displaylink device plugged in, especially since I haven't even tried to use ...

Re: Repeatable crash on exit
Does a similar thing for me in mac os x (unexpectedly quits on exit) and it is only when OSC is enabled.

Re: Poll: What's your favorite Clip Target in Resolume 3?
Free layer is really neat but its been very buggy for me to the point where I can't trust it at a gig. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to give steps to replicate the issues so I'll get around to that at some point.

Re: streaming over the internet in real-time
I had that same question and this answered it for me: http://www.ustream.tv/helpcenter/advancedhowto#id2
I use camtwist on mac to vj internet radio (Dubstep.FM) live on Stickam (same thing as ustream.tv). Sure its not perfectly in sync with the audio stream but its close enough!

Re: Record
Audio recording on the record feature will be vital to the act I'm developing. Any ETA on adding it?
For the moment I'm having to use Live to intercept my midi triggers and record those so at least when I replay it gets both the audio and video but this is definitely suboptimal.

Re: Resolume 3 + Touch screen
This post inspired me to try something funny along these lines.
I used a VNC client on my iPhone to connect to mac os x 10.5 screensharing on my mbp running resolume 3 and this gave me a nice wireless touchscreen controller for resolume! I may actually use this setup just for fun at an upcoming gig ...

Re: New Notebook for Resolume 3. Mac vs Windows???
I vj with a friend as a team and he's on a pc and i'm on a macbookpro. He's still running resolume 2.4 because we find that 3 is much more stable on my mbp. I run my resolume 3 output into his resolume 2.4 to mix. We crash about the same amount of times
So to summarize, I recommend a mbp now ...

Def-con custom controller
As an example to what you can do when combining existing controllers I present the Def-Con 1 ("Definable Controller") which is a combination between a Belkin Nostromo Speedpad n52 gaming controller , Mixman Dm2 and M-Audio Trigger Finger hacked into a custom made and laser etched box.
