Re: Force tab to remain visible + workspaces suggestion

Force tab to remain visible + workspaces suggestion

Is it possible to force a tab to remain visible? I am mainly referring to the Composition Effects tab. I prefer using the Active layer as a clip target since I can easily select the appropriate layer from my midi device. However whenever I select a particular layer the tab automatically changes to ...

Re: Clips from Windows to Mac

Dunno exact version, but it definitely wasn't the latest since I don't remember having the alpha option (like there is now). Should I reconvert with the latest codec? Does that bring about any performance improvements?

Thanks :)

Clips from Windows to Mac

Up until now I've been using Resolume on Windows, and the clips were all in MOV format (using DXV codec). However I have now switched to a Mac.

Does it make any difference (performance-wise) since the clips were converted using the windows DXV codec? Should I re-convert them on the Mac itself ...

Are these flash animations compatible?

Hi,

I am interested in purchasing the following 2 flash animations, however how can I know whether or not they are compatible with Resolume? Would it be difficult to adjust the text variable's name? Note that I am still a beginner when it comes to Flash!

Re: Best way to batch encode to DXV??

I think you need Quicktime since the DXV codec is listed under the Quicktime MOV format. Regarding batch conversion, you should try out the Adobe Media Encoder (don't know whether it comes with CS3, however its available with CS4 and CS5 for sure).

Re: nano Kontrol and version 2.4 / HOW TO MAP BUTTONS?

There's no need to use additional software. Just use the provided editor and change the buttons' type from CC to Notes. You can then map them individually using R 2.4.

Re: FX mapping

Good question! I also tend to keep around 8 effects in the comp, however I haven't seen any change in performace when removing them completely.

Re: Safe clip

Yep indeed. Its very useful for those small events where you just carry around your laptop and controller and get ready to party! :D

It could also be used as an overlay randomly during the show (having the clip composed with overlay mode instead of alpha for example, like the other layers ...

Safe clip

Is it possible to implement a simple feature where one can specify a single clip (video or image) to load as a "safe clip"? In simple terms, this is a clip (such as event logo or vj name) which can be used between performances and during breaks. Maybe it could also help solve the performance issue ...
